We were promised that Biden had progressed on criminal justice issues from his Senate days. Most recent signs suggest that, if he had, he's now going back to his old ways.
It does not matter whether or not Biden approved of the changes to DC code. It does of matter if Bowser vetoed it. It doesn’t even matter if they’re evidence-based or fair or just.
The changes were made through the democratic laws of DC and should not be overruled. Period.
