U.S. District Judge Mark Walker allows sex discrimination claims after the Justice Department weighed in to back the teachers who sued. Also: Law Dork in the media.
"I’m not so sure that is how I would approach it, but, hey, I’m not a federal judge."
I think one of various legal analysts, like the Strict Scrutiny gang (Stevens did call Kate Shaw a very competent law jerk), Chris Geidner, Anthony Michael Kreis, et. al., would make fine judges.
One progressive organization put Leah Litman on their list of progressive options.
Project 2025 requires teachers to use the name on your birth certificate without written permission from your parents. So if you were blessed with "Francis Wilfred" by a mother who chose it and loves the name, good luck getting called "Buck."
I do think we should be careful in how we describe Project 2025. It does not *do* anything. It calls for and recommends and states and would urge a Trump administration to do X, Y, and Z. It is a blueprint, not enforcement. (To be clear, I’m not doing a “this should be separated from Trump” thing. I just think, to keep reality clear, we need to remain clear in our discussion that these are plans, not policies.)
I was shown a post withdrawn by Instagram, by Robert Reich I think, because a "fact checker" complained that it stated "false facts." Like "Cutting Social Security" which is NOT in the Manifesto. Just a total failure to describe how to fund it so it doesn't just die of starvation.

I have no idea what that has to do with what I wrote.
On Being Careful How We Write About It?
Maybe I’m just tired.
Thank you very much Chris.
Perhaps you shbe a federal
judge. We'd see some sanity
in the courts.
