The 2024 elections are significantly about the courts including reining in the lower courts.

We can worry about President Biden not having events after eight o'clock -- as one asinine CNN story flagged -- or we can focus on the stakes. Unlike a guest op-ed in the NYT suggests, we can also vote.

Thanks for reporting.

In a sane world, nationwide injunctions could only be issued out of DC. Other USDJs’ jurisdiction would be limited to the state where they sit.

Honest question - what happens if the DOE (and maybe the feds writ large) just don't abide by the courts' rulings? Nothing seems to have happened to Abbot, and if that giant piece of shit can get away with it...

seems typical that people who thinks gender is the same thing as sex also believe that mentions of sex don't apply to gender differences. I wonder how Gorsuch feels about his opinion being distinguished away.

Nationwide injunctions are going to be the bane of our existence. I know that at least one of the "conservative" justices--Barrett, I think--feels they have gone WAY beyond their intended purpose.

Chris,

Thank you. Happy 4th of July. Your hope honesty and courage reporting truth to power with evidence is a cobble stone paving the road to justice. If only our Justices had your courage to live up to their oaths to our constitution.

Can't Biden as elected official pass regulations on his own of they get blocked, courts can't do anything?
