An anti-trans vote in the U.S. House follows further anti-trans actions in the United Kingdom — but the Montana justices ruled to keep their anti-trans law blocked.
The blind leading the blind. I find it OH SO interesting these people are making legal decisions without talking to ONE transgender person, let alone the millions of us in this country. Leave our bodies alone. Leave our healthcare in the hands of medical professionals who mostly know what they're doing. Stop pohleecing us without having one damn clue who we are, why we are, and that we are no more 'others' than being Black is. We're still Americans. We still pay taxes. We still contribute to this blasted society. I'm sick of fucked-up attitudes coming at me from 2 different directions. Mostly covert, but sometimes overt. Transphobia & racism are being wielded in a bully fashion. You know what I do to bullies? One swift punch/kick in the place of my choosing, and that stops that shit quick. It's much harder to do digitally because they're hiding behind devices.
We know you're using us because we're but a small group of people in this country and vulnerable to your attacks without recourse. Corporate media is keeping a lid on not talking to us either, so you don't see these things reported on the news. They'll be well on their way by the time 1 little station mentions it for 2 seconds. SMFH We know you're all bullies. And we know many of you are being cowardly about this because you don't want folks to know you secretly disagree with the oligarchs. Grow up, STOP IT, and grow a pair. This isn't going to end well for any "minority" in this country and will backfire in terms of ever voting Democrat again. You're cutting your noses off despite your face.
I'm talking to two different groups of people when I say "you," not everybody in this country. Way too many are silent about this while we're being punched at by evangelical politicians. Obeying in advance just encourages tyranny. TF?
Allow me to quickly explain/ask because this is a great big blinking red/blinding white light to call out the SCOTUS/Circuits, and look to the sun for a little ray, as that's needed. I'm floored.
The SCOTUS, as I have said, didn't decide anything, technically, on immunity for POTUS, they just remanded and left things to hang.
1. Did Trump incite an insurrection or did they just decide for the entire country that state's no longer control their election procedures, yet declined the independent state mandate, but everything else according to IT who is now POTUS-elect, when mooting the 14th for fear of "chaos"? Chaos is a rich word not lost on irony.
2. Did they, Chutkan, or anyone actually define a POTUS' official acts as that seems very pertinent?
3. Like someone said, MONTANA, wow! But, Manchin showed his ugly head today with Sinema to kill a judge confirmation. Neither like voting or good judges. How will the Chevron ruling affect these types of cases? Did not answering the equal protection question leave that an issue for the SCOTUS' word soup? Like the abortion drug case that didn't have damages yet TX MAGA MK banned the drug nationwide, and SCOTUS took it? With no damages? I'm lost on that one. I know it will pony back.
4. How will RFK, Jr. and Dr. Vitamin grifter seek to destroy what this and other courts do NOW?
5. I'm not shocked by Bible Mike, sorry I can't help myself, but some of the dems on this list are surprising and quite long and Jeffries? When will we learn?
Finally, I hope, without confidence, the SCOTUS justices look at this, as written, as I'd be concerned I'm already compromised and conflicted, currently, and now look idiotic in making a mess of every decision by not answering the questions, remanding, addressing the actual law, for their decision to hear the case, and/or look like repugnant hacks who can't make a decent ruling based on not being repugnant hacks but following the law with both common sense and reality. Justice Roberts just seems to think everyone has a roof over their heads. They claim originalism and we get some garbage interpretation even in a novel case. They absolutely know a POTUS shouldn't have criminal immunity, but it hangs, I believe. So, is it immunity since it was never defined? They claim he isn't above the law but won't make him accountable to what CO deemed the opposite, or anything else? They are and will be called upon and so far not good.
I'm sorry I can't speak directly to the laws for this community, of which I'm not a part of, but a big part of. I hope that makes sense. I can't have the same experience just like I'll never have a different skin color but that doesn't mean I can't learn through others eyes and ears and also put to use these cases for different reasons while learning and supporting you. Thanks!
If you have time, please, could you fix one table display? Under "Democrats who voted for the bill," one table is overlapping another so we can't read all the names.
Thanks. If your blogging interface has a "separator" or "divider" widget (a horizontal line), sticking it between tables may prevent them from overlapping.
Ah — sorry, I didn't see the Substack branding at the bottom of your website. Now that you mention it, yes, I do see these are Substack comments. (I've done a couple guest posts but I've never been very active on Substack generally, except sometimes I leave comments.) Anyhow, while drafting a Substack longform post, in the "More" menu, there's a "Divider" line. It may do something useful if you put it between two images or other stuff you'd like to separate vertically.
Montana! Of all places! Hope is sometimes as spontaneous as it is unexpected.
“For some, their actions are much more telling than their words.” But for the likes of Pious Mike Johnson, it’s more yelling than telling.
Thank You, Chris, for keeping us updated on this story, and will reStack ASAP 💯👍❄️🎄⛄

I am disgusted with Anna Eshoo's vote. She is retiring. What could she lose by voting NO?
This was sooooo good. On sooooo many levels.

Since when does banning access to medical care for dependents improve military readiness? Thank you for this.
With thanks to Montanans strongly independent streak leading them to create strong Constitutional protections for its citizens.
So sick of this country.
Thank you!

If you click on them, all four are larger, sadly. But, you can see them all that way.
Thanks. If your blogging interface has a "separator" or "divider" widget (a horizontal line), sticking it between tables may prevent them from overlapping.
I honestly am not sure what you're talking about. We're all on the same interface here: It's Substack.
