The question becomes how quickly can the new cabinet members get up to speed. And Trump may actually intervene. He's not an intelligent man, but he is a shrewd one. He's seen how abortion access is actually quite popular. He wants to wash his hands of it, and dump it on the states.
Federally restricting access to abortion drugs, and drugs that are also necessary for other medical reasons, puts his statement about 'leaving it up to the states' in the cross hairs, and I think he knows it.
As for RFK Jr, I genuinely feel neither he nor Oz will be confirmed. But then, insanity reigns today, so what do I know?
"Leave it to the states" means a heckler's veto--does anybody believe that the federal government will defend the rights of, say, Connecticut to permit abortion (and even stockpile mife/miso)? Only the rights of, say, Tennessee to ban abortion will be recognized.
Re: Mifepristone. Hmm, I always thought Ireland was supposed to be God-ridden … but here we are. (White) Christianity compels court cases? Where’s the proof? Again, I was there in the Fifties—was America great? Hardly, boring and racist and misogynistic … don’t wanna go back!
The cause for concern is that the Republican position on reproductive health care has easily been their biggest political liability ever since Dobbs, and yet at no time did any Republican say or do anything that would not meet the approval of the anti-abortion groups. Jessica Valenti has meticulously chronicled this time period. So the question is whether, now that they have full power, they will dare cross those groups and reject their demands. Perhaps they will, but it would be the first time.
“[i]t is even safer than such well-known drugs as Tylenol, Viagra, and insulin” is a total lie. Abortion pills are the most dangerous drug that can be administered without seeing a doctor in person based on the amount of women who have to go to the hospital or seek medical attention after receiving the drug. Numbers are numbers.

Well they're safer than pregnancy. But yeah 'protect' the women whether they like it or not.
