I wince every time I see the word 'immutable' used in a discrimination lawsuit: know what's not immutable? Being Catholic.

It is sad to see so much hatred against a small minority of people who have so many health issues and are under a great deal of sociatal pressure, that now they need to fight in court for what should be fun experience. We are all different from one another in small ways, but we should all be united in our common humanity.

Gods, how many appallingly bad judges will we have to endure? How many are infesting our legal system? Can we even salvage it at some point, or is it hopelessly contaminated by these walking talking definitions of malpractice?

I just can't anymore this week.

So again a view that the compelling interests of the state override bodily autonomy.

Pretty much how some judges seem quite happy to take away people’s contraception then force them to carry any pregnancy to term regardless of how that impacts their life. 😢

People will look back on these arguments, and these cases, with horror -- that American children were subjected to this. I cannot imagine anything good coming of this.

Typical right wing bullshit argument. It’s not the “trans-ness” that is the basis for the discrimination claim. It’s his biological maleness. Which is immutable.
