When the Democrats take office after the midterms, the first priority must be impeaching and removing the thug. Next comes impeaching or ousting everyone in the administration who enabled him, including the joker who penned this BS. Then criminal trials should follow as needed. Once he is impeached, we hand the Orange Man over to The Haig and begin investigations of his family and anyone who bribed or otherwise supported him, ideally with a Special Counsel who will act faster than Merrick Garland or Jack Smith.
Taking on the Courts will be difficult, but it must be done. Not just the Supremes either. The entire federal judiciary needs scrutiny, especially judges promoted by the Heritage Foundation and appointed by Trump or Bush.
We cannot stop at the federal level. State officials are like nits; left unchecked, they grow into lice. We must strip away their tricks by rewriting federal laws so that any proposed changes to voting rules in any state are examined, just as it was once required for the Old South states to submit to federal oversight.
None of this will be easy. The only way to succeed is to have the majority of the people on our side. And we need a durable majority, something like the forty-year span from Roosevelt to Eisenhower, if we hope to achieve real change. Think about the progress made then. We could have it again if we just put on our big boy panties.
I know I am talking big. But the world we live in now exists because Reconstruction failed and Confederates were pardoned. There can be no such failure this time. Those who committed unscrupulous acts, and those who enabled them, must pay the piper. They must face the full weight of the law.

He should have been blocked from further state or federal office via the Fourteenth Amendment (along with failure to adequately address emoluments, resulting in Trump to continue to use his office for personal gain, Congress was negligent in that area).

This is an institutional failure, with Mitch McConnell-led Republicans and the Supreme Court significantly involved. The Supreme Court slow-walked Trump cases repeatedly, including making blocking a criminal trial that was ready to be had. They didn't even SHOW UP (cowards) to release an unsigned opinion regarding a state's power to remove his name from the ballot.
And, yes, here we are, with the American public involved too. Ultimately, We the People have a significant role and what did we the people do? Re-elected the (expletive).
