This matter both angers and depresses me. I applaud his letter, including his bringing the receipts with multiple links. Someone elsewhere (an educated person I assume is a lawyer from their other comments) answered my complaint with invective. The letter is a good answer.
It is aggravating that the two Democratic senators (Manchin is a lost cause) who publicly opposed him (unless others cowardly are using them as cover, which is not impossible) cannot admit they were wrong. Trump and the Republicans won. One of them won an election. Can't you see it is important to vote for him for a key court of appeals vote? To answer Trumpism?
The joint confirmation hearing of Jewish (confirmed) and Muslim judicial nominations was a nice moment. This is a shameful one. Manchin and Sinema handing over control of the NLRB to Trump is an asshole move. But we know who they are. The two senators who helped do this are supposedly better than that. They are overall but this is a low moment of their tenure.
(I want to add that EVERY SINGLE Republican opposed him. The blame is largely with them.)
