If only the media and elected officials would state basic facts as clearly and simply as this judge. The animus is blatant and yet they insist on entertaining the obviously bad faith excuses for these policies.

Orwellian. Truly. This is like watching an immersive documentary on stark, blatant bigotry. And hypocrisy. In the 21st Century.

I just love the Judge’s statements to Lynch. The Judge gets the issue quite clearly.

Speaking of animus toward trans people, it's not related to this case but the Trump administration HHS and 17 Republican-controlled states are supposed to issue a status report by February 25 on a challenge to the Biden HHS regulation on Section 504 (outlining various forms of illegal discrimination against people with disabilities in health care settings).

The Republican states filed suit last September, and have claimed they are challenging a reference to gender dysphoria in the rule (it's actually in the preamble to the rule). In public statements, some of these Republican Ads have tried to make it seem like the whole case is about transgender accommodations. (It's not.) Their lawsuit goes much further and is seeking to have Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 declared unconstitutional under the Spending Clause. That would be disastrous.

Background on the HHS rule and the lawsuit here:

Would this judge have the authority and the means to order remedies, such as restoring the Stonewall monument?

No. That would be a different case.

No judge has any authority if the executive simply ignores them. Which is the plan. Vance has been saying it since 2021.

Then what? We either go into the streets or we bend a knee to fascist monsters who will destroy, physics-guaranteed, your children’s future.

That’s how it is.

“If we get there, Congress, the courts, and the states will have essential roles in immediately pushing back, as will the public. People will make decisions that will stay with them for life, and everyone will need to take every action they can to stop the lawlessness. And, the rule of law might not win.”

We could get there today, literally, and we have no plan, no organization. At all.

In fact, Chris asked me to leave this site months ago for suggesting we need a backup plan for just the situation we’re in now that anyone with two working neurons knew was at least a real possibility. (It was always the goal. From 2015. Fascism.)

Now we’re up the creek without a paddle. Because we lacked the strength to face reality.

Slow clap!

What I want to know is WHY THE ANIMUS? I suspect it has something to do with the predatory nature of conservative men.

And yet they keep getting slammed for sexually harassing men and women or molesting children. There is actually a psychological explanation for this phenomenon, including why a disproportionate number of religious conservatives are addicted to porn and molest children and teens.

Too bad all fetuses are female well into a woman’s pregnancy and therefore all babies are really female and that should solve this issue!😅

I can’t even believe they would attack the character, honesty, selflessness and integrity of a whole class of people, given who the Sec Def is, and what his honesty, integrity and character, as well as his unqualified unfitness are. “Rookie mistakes” like the huge giveaway of Ukraine before negotiations even started are unacceptable and disgraceful. He is proving his worth as a weekend Fox host. IMO, a transgender man or woman who loves their country and wants to serve, does so knowing it will be a hundred times harder for them. Their dedication must be rock solid to want to join an organization that wants to demonize them. I will take one transgender soldier over 10 Hegsths……..all day long!!!

Kennedy is scientifcally wrong. Human gender is not as simple as XX-female or XY-male.

There are some people have XY chromosomes but are unable to respond to testosterone. It is called CAIS (Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome). It is also known as Testicular Feminization. Such people are female from birth but are infertile and have amenorrhea (no menstrual periods). They don't usually find out about it until their teens. This genetic variation occurs in about 1 in 5,500 live births.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3901178/

Another syndrome is hermaphroditism in which children are born with both functioning male and functioning female genitalia. There are a number of causes of this very rare syndrome, from genetic mutations to chimerism (in which cells from 2 different embryos fuse and grow as one).

https://www.icliniq.com/articles/sexual-health/true-hermaphroditism

There are even some people with XXY chromosomes (47 instead of 46) who appear male, but may have gynecomastia (male breast development) and may have other ambiguous characteristics. They have low spernm counts. This syndrome is actually relatively common, occuring in about 1 in 600 males.

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/21116-klinefelter-syndrome

Kennedy and others are either lying or ignorant when they deny the existence of real people with these naturally occuring "intersex" conditions.

I've had it with your rejections of my comments, sir. Today's may have been lengthy but it was directly relating my life with precisely what is going on in the Reyes Court right now.

My comments are made on my cellphone, pecking at one letter at a time with my stylus.

You did not take the time to read it before deleting it.

I would like to hear back from you if you can find it in your heart to take the time. Your reaction will help me decide whether or not to unsubscribe to your page, that is, if you even care.

Question: when you delete comments are you able to retrieve them?

In partial explanation, I refer you to:

www.techdirt.com/2019/11/20/masnicks-impossibility-theorem-content-moderation-scale-is-impossible-to-do-well/

Note the "well" portion. Assuming the events as you have described, you would have run across either a) hard limits of this platform, or b) automated moderation rules. Either way, a human was likely not involved.

You see, above, that you are able to post comments that stay up.

Some amount of automation is necessary to prevent a comments section from being overtaken by spammers, flooded by flamers, and any number of other cases that neither you nor I could enumerate. Geidner **might** be able to adjust some settings to make it more friendly to you, but would almost certainly need to know more *precise* details about the comments you leave, such as length, included URL count (if any), any words that might trigger a censor, etc.

You might consider sending the comments to your email before posting them here, so you are able to provide such information.

This summary provides a link to an interesting Hegseth memo (bottom of page) that tacks on a concern for "dignity and respect" [wonder about the thought process that went into that] though it is somewhat diminished by their actions & allegations of false gender identity and pausing medical procedures and so on.
