And here is tRump addressing the "Moms" on one of their chief hate targets...you guessed it:

"[t]he transgender thing is incredible. think of it: your kid goes to school and comes home a few days later with an operation. the school decides what’s going to happen with your child — and you know many of these childs, fifteen years later, say, ‘what the hell happened? who did this

to me?’”

Haven't read anything in the corporate media that reported or commented at length on tRump's stupefyingly absurd remarks.

The NY Times has been normalizing everyone. They're pretending that just by objectively restating what Trump and these others are saying, that they're 'reporting'. But when you add it all up...they're normalizing everything. They pretend to good journalism because they're 'objective'. And it's gotten worse the last few weeks.

100% this. I don't know whether they're leading or following, but we've crossed way too many thresholds that should never have been crossed.

Incidentally, that wholly misguided art. appearing in the NYT referenced by Chris was closed to comments, a dodge that the Times is using more often, it seems to me.

Mom's for Liberty has been classified as an anti-government extremist group by the SPLC. Personally, I think of them as a hate group.

Just a reminder that they've opened the gateway to go after freedom of speech and freedom of travel, and who knows what else. Reproductive health care is only the canary in the coal mine, and voters need to realize that. No court will or can protect us.

Polling now shows that most women see abortion as the number one issue, ahead of “the economy” and trust the Dems more than GOP to protect their rights. If this holds is doomsday for the GOP regardless of all the MSM tap dancing.

As usual the GOP didn't even "consider " most women. Who also have daughters & granddaughters & understand. Hey we lost our rights! We have to stomp this!

9/1/21 was when the Supreme Court let SB8 go into effect. They were impatient.

They wanted Roe gone. Basic fundamental rights were to be thrown into the dustbin. Contra West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, they would be reliant on elections.

The reason was not merely federalism. There was a demand from a strong faction of the Republican Party to attack abortion itself. To deny people the right to choose. Such is who they are.

Every special election since Dobbs has been a 20 point corrective beating for the GOP. I think the polls are off base and a whole of women are just staying quiet and waiting for 11/5.

The “extremist shuffle” (with a swoop to the far right and an “not-at-all-alluring” dip to the halfway center-right) has always been a contortionist’s “monkey-dance” — absurdly comical, if not for its demoralizing success sometimes.

At this late date, after nearly ten years of all DJT’s absurdly tolerated lying, the “dance” is just tiresome and old. American voters must show up in numbers this November to reject extremism, and put a decisive stop to the nonsense. It has all gone on too long by far.

Thanks for keeping up on the details.

Always worth remembering that if they win this one election, they'll never have to be concerned with public opinion again. A lot of us suspect the forced birthers are pretending to be outraged to make their orange messiah more palatable to swing voters. But then maybe they're not that smart. Regardless, you're most emboldened when you win an election. If they won't stop slaughtering women now, when it could actually cost them, they certainly won't if they win.

The problem with state judge elections is I have no idea where to find info for who I should vote to retain. I am in Missouri, so my likely choices will just be blocked out any way, but I would love to vote out judges especially appointed by Trump. Any suggested places where that info can be found? Usually the MO Bar Association just suggests retaining everyone unless they've done something very inept or illegal.

For background I am not in the law profession so I have no idea who any of these people are or any major cases they may have passed a verdict on.

The Blue Voter Guide (https://bluevoterguide.org/) may be able to assist. It’s still being assembled, but you tell it your location and it tells you who’s on your ballot and what organizations have endorsed them. In at least some cases, it tells you who appointed your judges. Give it a whirl!

Try Ballotpedia for state Supreme Court justices.

While we refer to the highest court in the US as the “Supreme Court” or SCOTUS, it is now nothing more than an extension of an extreme group cultivated and fostered by Moscow Mitch McTraitor. Citizens United, Dobbs, and Trump vs US were not accidents. The mess created by these three cases underscores just how partisan, to billionaires, this institution has become. This is not justice rather it is corruption and arrogance that operates within their once respected halls. Now is the time for a major change to what has become a supreme “Kangaroo Court”.

Is there still a chance SCOTUS can make the right to life from conception stick under the 14th amendment, or others? If so, any abortion would be classified as murder, possibly including miscarriages or other non viable pregnancies.

They are going to correct and abmonish him daily. They are going to drag him some more.

They are going to try to get him to talk policy.

They are going to try to get him to not change those policies.

When it clear they can’t drag or change or control him they will form a Coup.

There is no way they are dumb enough to take him to a general….. are they?
