Pushy, aren’t they? Telling judges and justices when they want decisions. 1:11 anc counting til 9:30 Trump deadline.

I hope for once SCOTUS takes a pass and allows the appeals court decision to stand

Ketanji Brown Jackson is the Justice in charge of taking appeals for the DC Circuit. I have a feeling her response to this will be to turn it down in a one-sentence reply

Roberts could take the case from her, but he probably won't.

It's not a 48 hour stay, it's 48 hours from when the First Circuit makes its ruling.

I hope they have learned their lesson and realize that trump is not working for them, he is working against most of America. He is president for the rich only!

1. The funds don't exist under Section 32 as there is a lack of sufficient customs funds.

2. Where did the 4B pocket rescission go to? A mouse got it in its pocket?

3. Since Monday, it has been back and forth, and this should solidify that the tariff case, in repaying monies owed, will almost only benefit those who've told Trump he's pretty.

4. Perhaps he shouldn't be asleep during meetings, declare victory on unsubstantiated claims, due to his own shut down, firing, and hiding data and experts from the real truth being exposed to the people of these UNITED STATES.

This is heartbreaking.

He states able-bodied people only.

Have, the genius, look to the great state of Ohio, Vance's long lost birth home, and tell me how bad the Walmart, welfare, and working people, situation was, before Walmart finally raised its minimum wage to 11.00/hour.

That's bare to the bones.

Musk now makes $247M/day.

They should set up a GOFUNDME account, in anonymous crypto, to set themselves right side up.

I believe Musk was educated here, and lived here, illegally for more than two years. I could be wrong.

Who am I kidding?

I cracked a big smile

when I saw this had

gone to the 1st Circuit

and SCOTUS. I can't

wait to read Justice

Jackson's ruling on this.

We've had some pretty

bad presidents

throughout the history

of our country, but

Donald Trump is a low

life form. I don't know

what swamp he

squished up out of, but

to intentionally withhold

food, especially from

children, no matter what

state they live in, or the

color of their skin, is a

crime against humanity.

Yet he continuously continues to do his evil, and illegal, deeds! How do we stop him? Where are the protections? Where is the Supreme Court? They have caved to trump and his regime. Trump is doing whatever he wants, including refusing to follow a court order to pay the SNAP benefits. We have had shutdowns before but the SNAP benefits have never been cancelled. Meanwhile, trump throws a nice Halloween party (at our expense) at Mar-a-Lago? I'm sure he is pushing to get that ballroom finished so he can have even bigger parties at our expense!

I’m curious about the actual steps required to open the spigot and replenish individual EBT accounts. Is it spelled out in a declaration? What’s the holdup?

Expand full comment
Chris Geidner's avatar

Yes, it's a bit complicated and involves multiple transfers. Also, yes, it has been laid out in filings in the cases. (I'm honestly not sure exactly where right now, but, it's only like a two-week old case, so, if you look on the docket at DOJ's filings, I'm sure one of Penn's USDA declarations lays it out.)

Well somehow the State of Oregon was staffed for an all nighter last night to be sure that Oregon’s SNAP recipients received their full month’s benefits today… based on the fact the feds had been ordered to fund them! So … whatever the criminals have to do to RELEASE THE MONEY ALREADY APPROPRIATED…they need to LOSE SOME SLEEP and GET IT DONE! Grrrr.

Chump can find millions to pay for his weekly golf trips to his tacky-ass golf motels. But refuses to feed Americans because he thinks it gives him leverage over democrats in a political catastrophe of his own making. The most loathsome sack of shit humanity has to offer. Deplorable.

Please donate to your local food bank if you're able.

How sad that a president is trying to avoid paying benefits to our people. Going so far as to appeal to the courts! He is supposed to be leading our people. Now, he wants to take benefits from those that need help to feed their children and for older people to be able to feed themselves? What is wrong with our supposed president and his regime?
