Thanks for the report! Wow that exception, not-really-an-exception is so ridiculous. Fortunately they can't bullshit Judge Reyes. I can just imagine the questions she'll ask the DOJ attorney about this.

This is so wrong. Why are republicans afraid of transgender people? I am more afraid of right wing men who think common rules es of society doesn't apply to them. In other words " maga idiots".

Some may have some religious convictions but for many of them, it's about power.

Here is the best explanation I've heard of how power dynamics work - out of 10 people, 8 are happy to live their life and mind their own business. 2 people want to control what everyone else does. The 2 people convince 6 of the 8 people that the other 2 people are a threat of some sort and further convince the 6 people to give power to the 2 controllers to protect them from them 2 people they are now afraid of.

Mark my words - and the words of the number of others who have said it already - if this succeeds, it will not be the end. Extending it to the LGB who think they are oh so safe will not be far behind. This is not about getting rid of trans folks. This is about undoing the whole 20th century.

Republicans/Conservative/Religious white cisgender heterosexual men are literally the most unstable humans in existence.

That’s not ironic… right? 🤨

The first bullet of the policy says that military personnel are welcome to serve “without accommodations”. Taken literally, wouldn’t this mean even eyeglasses would be disqualifying? Judge Reyes is a smart woman and I’m sure she’ll be all over this, if it’s even an issue but that’s what came to my mind before we even got into the horrible parts of this policy.

It’s so IGNORANT. Gender differences occur in all animal life including humans. REAL scientists have studied. Scientists KNOW STUFF.

Why not leave other people in peace? You don’t have to be best buds if you don’t want to be.

Why be horrible? Why?

I know it's not the most WTF thing in the endless parade of WTFery, but EO 14204, "Addressing Egregious Actions of the Republic of South Africa" was issued February 7, allowing white South Africans an exemption from the refugee ban. It also denies aid and assistance to South Africa. DHS and State are supposed to take steps to prioritize humanitarian relief in South Africa toward Afrikaners.

I see by one report that the Administration argues the number of trans people are in the "low thousands" (their open-ended and vague definition will both help and hurt them there) while one trans organization's figure is 15,000. Either way, that's a lot of people relatively speaking (not so much as a percentage). A Congress that is not tainted would pass a law to override this order.

Boy. Being a brilliant IT person is certainly going to be adversely affected by being a trans woman. It is well known that being male by birth makes you clumsier with a mouse. 🙄🙄And of course being a trans man would preclude such a specialty since it is obvious that women from birth are awful at math.

What of that list is missing in a trans person except perhaps “lethality” in a trans man’s lesser ability to strangle the enemy with bare hands--a must in modern warfare?
