I feel comfortable that in four years we will be able to successfully impeach Bove.

If we still have a country in four years.

Impeach probably, but conviction will require the votes of 67 US Senators.

And we are very unlikely to see that in our lifetimes.

I actually think by the time the senate is done with Trump, we'd have enough votes.

I suspect at that time there will be a lot of shaking Trump from their shoes in the senate.

I’m not.

In four years, we won’t. Already, we don’t,

Yet more disgusting behavior masquerading as governance. They outdo each other in sliminess. Glad the complaint was filed.

Sometimes the best that can be done it to bear witness, in as unalterable/unforgettable a manner as possible.

Are there no adults at all in the Republican Party at all? Is incivility now the norm, and blatant scorn for law and mores? Trump has defaced this nation.

Yes, any pretence of civility is gone: Trump has given the deplorables both the opportunity to take off their masks as well as to persecute the insufficiently sycophantic among their ranks.

There may not be a party for the people anymore, but there sure as hell isn’t a uniparty either, and anyone trying to make equivalances between the very flawed Dems and the irredeemably terrible GOP is either a liar or an idiot, or both.

It was highly unethical for a sitting judge to attend a partisan event. He should be subjected to disciplinary actions.

And even from only a side view I can see that Bove is smirking in agreement

I tried to warn Republicans about Bove. I was truly shocked when Chairman Grassley refused to hear testimony from whistleblowers about Bove after Senator Booker’s request.

That motherfucker was smirking, as much an invitation as any for a good face-punching.

Such a punchable face and smirk. I hope I live long enough to see that.

My criminal record is spotless and will remain that way, but it needs to be widely stated that there is obviously no way to rid ourselves of these goons by ordinary democratic means. Jim Crow is back in black robes. The far-right minority will always be with us, but it should never have been allowed to gain majoritarian power. Federalism itself is the ultimate enemy. In the meantime, tar&feather Emil Bove. I can get you some tar, dude.

As in Cape Feare, if one isn't swift and decisive when acting outside the law for the force of good, we will all be reduced to grunting and swinging rocks at each other in the sand

Janet Carter's avatar

He needs to be impeached!

Bove is a democracy insurrectionist, so are all of his colleagues in the Trump administration.

I am sorry I turned on this computer today. For shame: what will the Ethics Committee for judges do with this?

J Thomas's avatar

No doubt, Bove is not fit to serve and should be removed. No doubt, he will not be removed and many more like him will be appointed.

The total capture of the judicial branch over the last few years has been extremely disconcerting to watch. Thank you for your coverage.

I seriously have to wonder whether all these creeps somehow get off on being hated. They're so wrapped up in sticking it to the liberals, that they can't see straight.

How UnAmerican can you get?
