Judge Failla found that DOJ’s request “shocks the conscience” by seeking the “most personal and sensitive information a medical provider could hold” without justifying its need.
Thanks to Judge Faila and her ability to accept this case, move quickly, honestly and compassionately to assist the individuals in their quest for privacy, fairness and overall health. What kind of person would think that it would be appropriate in any way, shape or form to force their belieifs about a persons sexuality. We need to do more to provide protectionssupports to all in these situations across out country.
The refusal of this foul Adminstration to respect the rights of patients and physicians is appalling as is the overall attack on trans folk and their right to gender affirming care which is the business of nobody other than the patient and their physicians. The cretins who insist they can refuse vaccines which protect others against the spread of infectious disease in the name of their personal bodily autonomy have a different standard when it comes to decisions by others which impact nobody but themselves.
Wow, an exceptional judge and decision. I am hoping that if Dems ever control Congress again, it would seek to impeach O'Connor. At a minimum, ending this game of judge shopping in Texas is something Congress can do and should.
PS I don't think I've ever said thank you for always linking the court documents. You don't know how frustrating it is to read a news story about a court decision and the site won't provide a link or copy to the document they're reporting on.
Thank you. Crucial reporting.
For Christ's sake, why not just let people be people?

This DoJ keeps finicking — O Cowardly New World!
Chris is the man on the trans case and that’s good for all of us
