Unlike the six (6) seditionist justices on the Supreme Court, the lower courts continue their best to uphold the law and Constitution.

Thank you, Chris, for the post. It brightened up what otherwise was a pretty dreary 4th of July.

Thank you, Mr. Dork, for keeping us informed about this important action by judge Moss. Hopefully the SCOTUS can keep their greasy fingers off of this one.

Thank u for informing us of this good news on a holiday celebrating our ‘rights’. Can’t believe that the US would ever be deporting & imprisoning people in other countries. How far we have fallen.

Abusing the process?? The Trump has been abusing the process all his life. DOJ is now staffed with unqualified hacks, crackpots and lunatics. Their mission is not to uphold the Constitution and the rule of Law, but to abuse our Nation.

One wonders if the government has already put the plaintiffs on a plane bound for Juba before Judge Moss' order came down.

Probably SCOTUS will overturn Judge Moss’s decision because he was wearing gray socks on a black sock day.

The Supreme Court is just as corrupt as the President and Congress, the so-called system of Checks and Balances is kaput, and the idea of deporting people to a country where they have never been is inhumane and contrary to everything the Founders of this country believed. I'm pleased that there are a few honest judges who still believe in the Constitution, but I'm sure the Nazis will find a way to cripple them. This is the first 4th of July in 84 years that I'm NOT proud to be an American!

The Supreme Court should have a retirement age set at 70 yrs old they step down. They should only be allowed to serve 12 consecutive years!

No! Than we wouldn't have had Brandeis, Holmes, Thurgood Marshall, Earl Warren, Hugo Black, etc. etc. Mathematicians' prime years have passed usually by their forties, but philosophers and judges are just getting into their stride at that age

Very grateful for this, thank you for putting this out on this Independence Day. The rule of law is soldiering on, in the hands of a judge who remains devoted to it and to his duty, even on a federal holiday. This is a ray of sunlight in the midst of the dark clouds crowding around us and our Constitution.

I don't know if that 8th amendment argument will carry water at SCOTUS. Won't the burden be to prove mistreatment will occur rather than could occur?
