Judicial confirmations appear to be nearing their end, with few votes likely remaining. Also: Trump's nominee to lead DOJ's Civil Rights Division needs scrutiny.
We're used to McConnell playing his ethical two-step game when it comes to judicial appointments. But I'm waiting for the media to breathlessly report everything he says, as if it isn't the height of hypocrisy.
As for picking someone with an appalling record of fighting against civil rights to lead civil rights...that's Trump. It also signals that Trump plans on using the trans community as the scapegoats during his four years.
I'm glad Democrats took judges seriously this presidential term but even if they match Trumps number it doesn't come close to Trumps massive overhaul, I wish Sotomayor had retired so we could have least shored up the small liberal bloc. I just pray Roberts doesn't retire in the next four years.
We have to stop pushing for our folks to give up and give in and think about putting our energies where it matters. We have to stop spending all our time going "Oh, I wish...." when it didn't happen and won't happen.
We had better start looking forward before we lose everything.
Your so smart, Chris, each article you write, I get a little smarter too. Thank You, and will reStack ASAP 💯👍❄️🎄⛄
I guess no one follows the old adage, District judges for show, Circuit judges for dough.

Get over the Sotamayor retiring BS. Do you think that Manchin would have allowed anyone Biden picked to replace her?
Yes I do, he supported Jackson.
Would not have mattered, three Republicans also voted for her.
Sotomayor is perfectly fine, and by no means, the oldest on the court.
There's no reason for her to quit and risk the possibility of Manchin and Sinema doing what they just did to the NLRB board.
