And here it is—Donald Trump, to whom EVERYONE is an enemy, declares war on his critics. Venezuelan gang, reporters, Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, me, you … women, African Americans, Latinos, Muslims, Jews … Zoroastrians?

To a megalomaniac, this is gravy—the Eighteenth Century never looked so good!

Italians, because of the Mafia. Implicated in the killing of a president. If you are president, do you want those guys around?

But what about Elon Musk—an exploratory South African troop with invasion and treasure on his mind?

I suppose it is hopeless to ask what foreign nation or government is invading us? Is Maduro claiming those gangs are government agencies? Of course, under this Administration words mean what trump SAYS they mean, with no relationship to what they DO mean.

We've gone down the rabbit hole and there is the Cheshire Cat.

I think Panama, Greenland, and Canada have to adopt this Act RIGHT NOW.

Yep, tRump/DOJ - aren't they the self-same entity? - rolling out the long-promised and much speculated-upon heavy artillery in the form of a 237 year-old Act of Congress enacted only a few scant years after declaring independence from the British Crown. One would think surely that deportations under the Enemy Aliens Act would be summarily dismissed, as "wartime" hardly describes the condition existing in the US currently, and undocumented immigrants hardly qualifying as "armed foreign invaders".

But, these are maddeningly strange times, and one inevitably is looking for five sane Justices on the Supreme Court to put a quick end to this hysterical nonsense...yes?

As to the “invasion … ongoing at the southern border” we remember the Battle of El Paso where Americans struggled mightily against Mexican tourists and grocery-buyers.

This is a BLATANT abuse of power. The United States is NOT fighting a war with Venezuela and he can't just declare a few immigrants to be an "invasion". This is a very dark line that he has crossed.

No that literally did not happen. You are just spouting MAGA propaganda and I'm not even going to bother wasting my time arguing with you other than to say begone, MAGA scum.

How can you file an appeal of an order and hearing that hasn’t even taken place yet. And if TRO are not appealable, why is the DOJ continually allowed to appeal them? Serious question, not sarcasm.

The invader is, per the statute, a foreign nation or government. How the hell do gang members qualify oh stable genius?!?

The idea of an administrative stay is nonsensical surely? Aren't administrative stays supposed to stop anything permanent from happening while the court looks at a matter? That seems to me to be what the TRO is doing.

It's interesting also the the minute order said that the plaintiff's had succeeded on all 4 of the requirements to obtain a TRO.

... would Schumer "obey in advance" in voting to pass the CR if he had known this was going to happen? or is there more to the story that supports that he caved in to the authoritarian powers-that-be because of servile fear for his own position (whatever that is/was)(see Joyce Vance's site in 13 minutes)?

Schumer knows all and everything perfectly. He is a coward and traitor, he surrendered to Trump-Musk.

Yup, as expected and as any somewhat slow nematode could have predicted, Trump is ignoring the courts. Good thing we all expected this and have a full backup plan ready to go: the attitude, organization and infrastructure necessary to spend years fighting fascists. A special thanks to all those who, through fear and weakness, refused to listen to the plain words these mobsters have been speaking for ten years.

Slow clap!

Well, imagine that. I feel far less safe with a criminal gang in charge of the executive and legislative branches of government than I do with rival foreign gang members being in jail.

Why would that feeling be so different? It's because we actually are less safe with criminals running the government and ignoring rule of law.
